What’s on the needles today?

Triangle Shawl by Sherry Cantrell

Today on my size 6, 4mm cubics circular needles is the first triangle shawl I’ve knitted in a while. I’m taking this opportunity to use up a bunch of DK weight yarn I had left over from my dad’s Christmas present. I made him a replica Dr Who scarf from a free pattern I found on http://www.openculture.com. I made the scarf slightly smaller than the original and had so much yarn left over I didn’t know what to do with it. I’ve spent the last few months using up my worsted stash and now the DK feels light as a breath while I’m working. I love the way it drapes.

I’m quite taken with it. I think it looks like a picnic at sunset. I can’t wait for it to be done so I can sit on my porch with a coffee and take in a sunrise wearing my sunset shawl.

Let me know what you think and share what’s on your needles today.
